His Royal Cuteness

Okay....Kyan has been shaking his head "NO" for a couple weeks now (though I suspect Kyan just uses it as a device to keep himself awake when tired, NOT to say "No"), but I was unable to catch it on video...until now.....



And here is some video of the best sound in the world.....Kyan's laugh.....we were zerberting his chest and it REALLY got him going :-)

I just gotta be me...

Everyone I know seems to have a baby who is moving very quickly towards their next developmental milestone....Saying "Mama" (even if they don't know what it means), crawling, standing........Kyan is resolutely committed to doing nothing.......To honor my son's total lack of ambition (he got it from me), here is video of him NOT crawling......

Teething Biscuits

Today, just for shits and giggles, I gave Kyan a teething biscuit...He LOVED it....I let him play with it/chew on it for about half an hour......and MAN, was he pissed whern I took it away! Although I feel he is probably still a little too young for finger foods (babies are supposed to be crawling and have developed a pincer grasp), it was a fun experiement nonetheless....



In other news, we painted the kitchen last week, and it looks FABULOUS!! I will post pics next week, after we get our new stove delievered (Thank You to Jon's parents!) I will also post pics of the hallway and living room, which I have said I would do for....months....SO I am a little behind.....

As for me, yesterday was my birthday, and I again I did not get a pony...very disappointed. I am now 28....UGH....

Future Star

In just a few days....Kyan went from talking like this....


to talking like this:


Amazing, huh?? Taught him myself......I am prepping him to support us in our old age.....

Okay, but seriously, I just think that kid looks SO much like Kyan!

So Kyan's 6 month checkup was last week-he was 17 lbs, 5 oz, and 27 inches long....He is getting SO big-I can't believe how fast the time is flying!
